Will I be charged for shipping when I placed my order online?
We offer free shipping on all online flag purchases. Shipping charges apply to any non-flag items such as flagpoles, brackets, MailWraps®, Yard DeSigns®, doormats, etc. Please refer to our Shipping Policy for more detailed information.

What is the difference between appliqué and printed flags?
Appliqué is a sewing construction method that Flag Fables has used since 1984 to create our own quality polyester/cotton flags. Using our own original designs, each section---from stripes, to lettering, to the beak of a bird---is hand cut and then carefully stitched to the fabric background. The appliqué flags are then skillfully hand trimmed to make the design visible from both sides.

Our printed flags are made by top-quality manufacturers that use cutting-edge technology and incorporate fabrics and dyes that resist mildew, fading, and are machine washable. Top artisans' and photographers' work is faithfully reproduced, capturing fine detail and subtle colors to complement your home.

Both are quality choices for the discriminating flag flyer--it's simply a matter of personal preference. With the tremendous number of beautiful designs, we are sure you will find our decorative flags a wonderful addition to your home décor.

Is my flag washable?
Washable and iron-able! We recommend a gentle machine wash with a mild detergent. Simply hang to dry. Use a low-heat setting if you choose to iron your flag before hanging.

What type of flag pole should I use for my larger flags?
Our popular spinning pole is the best selection for accommodating either a sleeved hem or flag with grommets. The pole includes two flag fasteners for flags with grommets, as well as a swivel ring and clip for a sleeved hem flag. Plus, the top 40" of the pole spins in the wind allowing your flag to fly freely!

How long will my flags, MailWraps, and Yard DeSigns last?
Many of our customers comment on how well our flags, MailWraps and Yard DeSigns hold up in various weather conditions. However, it is impossible to accurately predict the outdoor life of decorative products. As with any items that are continuously used outdoors, the life of our products are dependant upon their exposure to wind, rain and sun.

How will my metal Yard Stake, Wall Plaque or Garden Flag Stand hold up in the outdoor elements?
Our yard stakes, wall plaques and garden flag holders have been treated with a high quality powder coated urethane finish to guard against weather damage.

I have a plastic mailbox; will the magnetic mailbox covers work on my mailbox?
Yes. All you need is our plastic mailbox adapter kit that includes two adapter pieces, each with adhesive on one side and magnetic facing on the other. Simply place the magnetic side of the adapter on the magnetic strip on your MailWrap. Position the MailWrap on your plastic mailbox, then remove the paper from the adhesive side of the adapter and press into place. When removing the MailWrap, separate the two magnetic faces and the adapter remains on the mailbox, ready for your next MailWrap for the upcoming season, holiday, or occasion!

Do you carry state/international flags?
We carry many international and state flags in various sizes (starting at 4" x 6" on up) in our retail store. What is the return policy?
We have a generous policy which allows for returns or exchanges to take place within 60 days of the invoice date. The item must be in its original packaging, in unused condition, and accompanied by the original receipt. Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer (unless it is due to our mistake). We will, however, provide free shipping for any new flag selections.
