The "Cardinals on a Wire" design is by watercolor artist, Dean Crouser. The scene shows three red male cardinals sitting on a wire. The field behind them is white with soft brush strokes and drop of paster colors. At the top and bottom of the mailbox cover are borders of matching colored vertical stripes in shades of red, black and white.
